How to Search PC Software







Everybody wants software to build their PC work. You have to decide what kind of software you want and how much you are willing to spend before you start looking to set up your PC.



  1. Find an anti virus program. You should start with an anti virus program so your PC is protected--there are several free of charge ones, some of which are listed in the resource section.


  1. Create sure you have an Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Opera. Without these you can't use the Internet to discover any other software you may want for your PC.


  1. Locate software for word processing and spreadsheets. There are without charge office software packages that include both word processing and spreadsheets that are totally compatible with Microsoft Word and Excel. There is no need to buy the more expensive package. Look at the resource section for additional information.

 
  1. Look for software to backup your PC by creating CDs and DVDs. Roxio is one of the most accepted and comes free of charge on a lot of new PCs, or it can be downloaded via the Internet.


  1. Choose what other software you want to get the maximum advantage out of your PC. If you can't find free of charge versions on the Internet, try stores such as CompUSA and Office Max. You may not get the software gratis but you can get high-quality bargains there. You don't want to have the brand name for your computer to work best; sometimes off brands work just as fine if not superior.
